Our first Open Studios was a bit of a success. With just two weeks of planning we managed to pull it off and had a good momentum of visitors every hour from 4-9pm. Everyone from followers on Instagram, friends from high school, current, and new friends managed to find this mystery spot. So thank you all for taking the time in your busy schedules to come hang out with us. What was a hit besides the cheese? Plasmacars. Have you ridden one? You will during the next open studios. With most of my Acculturation work being shown elsewhere, I displayed my plein air watercolors, silkscreen prints, barbershop portraits, oil studies, and The Perfect Sketchbooks-B5 & Pocket. Being that it is Jason's studio, all of his work in oil was on view. Everything from plein airs of the Sierra's and East Bay, figure & still life studies (which he also had set up inside), and new large work in progress pieces. We've decided to make this a quarterly thing, so we will see you guys back here sometime in the Spring. We want to make the next event bigger and better. Keep your eyes peeled for the invite.
